Richard Flood

Richard Flook è Director of Special Projects and Curator at Large al New Museum, New York, istituzione presso la quale ha ricoperto la carica di Chief Curator dal 2005 al 2010 e curato le mostre: Rivane Neuenschwander: A Day Like Any Other, Double Album: Daniel Guzman and Steven Shearer eThe Last Newspaper. Negli stessi anni ha organizzato Mary Heilmann: To Be Somebody e David Goldblatt: Intersections Intersected. E’ stato co-curatore di Unmonumental, la mostra inaugurale della sede del New Museum sulla Bowery (2007). Prima di arrivare al New Museum, Flood ha lavorato come Chief Curator e Deputy Director al Walker Art Center di Minneapolis. Per il Walker ha curato le mostre Sigmar Polke: Illumination, Brilliant!: New Art from London, Zero to Infinity: Arte Povera 1962 – 1972 e Robert Gober: Drawing + Sculpture. Flood è anche stato direttore della Barbara Gladstone Gallery, New York curatore al P.S.1, New York e Managing Editor di Artforum. Ha insegnato presso il Rhode Island Institute of Art and Design, il Royal College of Art a Londra e il National College of Art and Design a Dublino. Scrive per Artforum, Parkett e Frieze.
